Grain Harvest jobs pay 20+
Viterra is seeking applications from individuals who wish to work during the South Australian and western Victorian grain harvest period. Dependent on site location and seasonal conditions, most harvest jobs will be available from approximately October 2016 through to January 2017 with training provided prior to October.

Applicants are required to have a medical check before they can be employed which includes a drug and alcohol screen.
Successful applicants will be required to organise their own transport and accommodation.

All employees need to have a strong focus on workplace safety and will receive extensive training to ensure they have the skills to complete the role whilst working in a team environment.
Roles
General grain handling
General grain handling duties make up most of Viterra's harvest work. Employees perform a variety of tasks using site equipment and machinery, particularly to help unload grain trucks.
Bunker operations
Bunker operations include a variety of tasks around the grain bunkers as well as some manual handling duties. This includes handling bunker ground covers and tarpaulins, helping to load and unload grain trucks and directing traffic.
Weighbridge operations
Weighbridge operations primarily involves weighing grain trucks upon arrival and then again when leaving the site. Employees enter data relating to each load that has been received. This role suits people with good communication, accuracy and computer data entry skills.
Grain classification
Grain classification duties include assessing characteristics of grain to determine an appropriate classification. Operators undertake specialist training and are assisted by a senior classifier. This role suits people who are hands-on, have an eye for detail, computer data entry skills and the ability to work under pressure.
Service Centre Operators (Adelaide Head Office only)
Service Centre Operators provide excellent customer service to Australian grain growers by promptlyproviding accurate information in a call centre environment.
Laboratory Technicians (Adelaide only)
Laboratory Technicians assist with general testing of Viterra commodities, reporting on all assigned laboratory analysis tasks and other requirements of the laboratory.
