Roles

General grain handling

General grain handling duties make up most of Viterra's harvest work. Employees perform a variety of tasks using site equipment and machinery, particularly to help unload grain trucks.

Bunker operations

Bunker operations include a variety of tasks around the grain bunkers as well as some manual handling duties. This includes handling bunker ground covers and tarpaulins, helping to load and unload grain trucks and directing traffic.

Weighbridge operations

Weighbridge operations primarily involves weighing grain trucks upon arrival and then again when leaving the site. Employees enter data relating to each load that has been received. This role suits people with good communication, accuracy and computer data entry skills.

Grain classification

Grain classification duties include assessing characteristics of grain to determine an appropriate classification. Operators undertake specialist training and are assisted by a senior classifier. This role suits people who are hands-on, have an eye for detail, computer data entry skills and the ability to work under pressure.

Service Centre Operators (Adelaide Head Office only)

Service Centre Operators provide excellent customer service to Australian grain growers by promptlyproviding accurate information in a call centre environment.

Laboratory Technicians (Adelaide only)
